Little Oven

There's this very small bakery at Gillman Village Food Centre, off Alexander Road.
yes, adjacent to Villa Bali. it's called Little Oven.
the shopfront is simple and sparse with a orange signboard,
with only one staff inside, but don't appearances fool you.

they've got very good mini muffins!
the texture is rather dense and thick, rather moist too.
more importantly, the taste is not cloyingly sweet,
very suitable for the health-conscious diet watchers.

each mini muffin is about a mouthful.
yes, you can literally stuff it into your mouth! each muffin burst open with flavor!
flavors like Chocolate-Banana, Green Apple Raisin and Chocolate Date are available.
you can really taste the actual flavor of the cocoa, the banana and green apple in each muffin, because it's not overpowered by sweetness, unlike muffins from the cafes.

each muffin is 60 cents each. 6 muffins for $3.

i highly recommend Little Oven!
in addition, they also have carrot cake with cream cheese topping and tiramisu.
i have tried neither yet, so watch out for this space =)
second closest to this would Sweet Secrets. their chocolate muffins are pretty good.
really, Delifrance, Polar and especially that cafe at the Esplanade library doesn't have good muffins.. all are so cloyingly sweet and doesn't taste like muffin either! =P
